Can dogs eat peanut butter?
Peanut butter is only for small amounts, or in certain forms, for dogs. VCA says natural peanut butter can be a tasty treat for dogs and it has protein and other nutrients. The big warning is xylitol, a sweetener some peanut butters contain that is toxic to dogs. A dog that eats a peanut butter with xylitol needs a vet or poison line right away.
