The ASPCA and the AVMA both advise keeping pets indoors, in a quiet, secure room, and never taking them to fireworks. Make sure collars, tags and microchip details are current in case a frightened pet bolts. Ask your vet well before the holiday if your pet is very anxious, because treatment is a vet's decision.
